Civil, structural, and drafting services for South Australian projects.

Five groups of work, listed below with what each one is and when you would need it. Most projects draw on more than one — which is the reason we keep them under one chartered team rather than three separate consultants.

Development approval & building documentation

The documentation council and your certifier need before your project can start. If you have been asked for structural calculations, engineering drawings, or a specification to support an application, this is the work — prepared to suit the approval pathway your project is actually on, so it answers the assessor’s questions the first time rather than the third.

  • Council & Certifier Documentation
  • Structural Calculations for Approval
  • Project Specifications
  • Drafting — 2D & 3D, Plans, Elevations

Structural engineering

The design of everything that carries load — footings, frames, slabs, walls, and roofs. You need it when you are building new, changing an existing structure, or when a builder or certifier asks who is engineering it. Our focus is buildability: a design that is practical to construct, not only one that satisfies the calculation.

  • PT & Conventional Concrete Structures
  • Structural Steel Design
  • Light Gauge Steel Design (LGS)
  • Concrete Precast Panel Design
  • Timber Framing Design
  • Retaining Wall Design
  • Footing & Stump Design
  • Bored Pier Design
  • Masonry & Roof Structural Design
  • Building Structural Modelling

Civil & site design

How the site itself works — levels, water, and access. This is the work that turns a piece of land into something buildable: where stormwater goes, how much earth moves, and how the site meets the road. It runs alongside structural design, and the two have to agree with each other before either one is finished.

  • Pavement Design
  • Stormwater & Drainage Design
  • MUSIC Model for SMP
  • Earthworks Design (Cut & Fill)
  • Grading & Civil Site Design
  • Subdivision Documentation

Inspections, reports & sign-off

Attending site and putting our name to what is there. Some inspections fall at set stages of a build; others you need because something has changed, been damaged, or has to be assessed before you can proceed. Either way it ends in a report or a sign-off you can hand straight to whoever asked for it.

  • Site Inspections & Assessment Reports
  • Footing & Frame Inspections
  • Roof Structural Assessments (incl. Solar)

Specialist project support

The work that sits outside the standard path: ground conditions that need investigating before anyone designs anything, existing structures that need assessing or repairing, and projects with enough moving parts that someone has to hold the design team together. If you are not sure whether your project belongs here, ask — it usually does.

  • Soil Testing & Geotechnical Reports
  • Dilapidation Reports & Remedial Solutions
  • Project & Design Team Management

Not sure which services you need?

Most people aren't — that's normal. Tell us about the project and we'll work out the scope together.
